Dark Chocolate- Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

Dark Chocolate -Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

This is my concoction.

1 box of Pillsbury's vanilla cake mix. I used Pillsbury's French vanilla
1 box of Hershey's Special Dark instant pudding
3 eggs
1 cup of water
1/2 cup of olive oil
1/2 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350, generously grease and flour a large loaf pan.

In mixing bowl place the eggs, water, and oil, and lightly mix with beater. Add in the DRY pudding and cake mix, mix on medium until all is moistened, stopping to scrape sides as you go. The batter will be tight/thick. Take 1/4 cup of the chocolate chips and hand turn into the batter. Pour the completed batter into the prepared loaf pan, slightly smoothing and evening off  the top. Add the remaining 1/4 cup of chocolate chips on top of the batter. Using a knife twist and turn the chocolate chips into the batter ( like marble cake). Bake in the oven for about 45 -55 minutes. Checking the cake at 40 minutes using a knife in the middle. You should only get the melted chocolate on the knife and not any wet batter. Cool a few minutes and place on a plate right side up and sprinkle generously with powdered sugar. With the cake still warm the powered sugar will create a sugary crust as it cools. Cut with bread knife for even slices.
